Do l need to install an inverter if l only want to charge my boat or Rv battery with a solar panel?
You don’t need an inverter if you’re only charging your battery. However, if you want to use the battery to run different appliances, like a TV or a refrigerator, you need an inverter to convert the DC power to AC power.
Will solar panels work in the winter in my state or province?
Wherever there is sunlight, solar panels will generate electricity. Cooler conditions, like those during the winter, can help improve solar panel performance. Solar panels can still generate electricity in cloudy conditions, just not as efficiently. The panel won't generate any electricity if there is any snow build-up on it, so make sure to keep the panel clear. This goes for any type of obstruction including shade or dirt.
Does my solar panel system require roof penetration?
Solar panels don’t always need a roof penetration for installation. Most times, they can be permanently mounted on the roof using a sealant. Alternatively, they can be installed on the ground.
Can the solar panel drain my battery at night?
If you have a solar charge controller installed in your system, there is no danger of a reverse current draining your battery.
How long will the solar panels last?
The RICH SOLAR MEGA Series solar panels have a performance warranty of 25 years. After 5 years of use, the panels should output more than 95% of the rated power. After 10 years, that output is 90%, and after 25 years, the output should be 80%.
Can the solar module overcharge my battery?
Yes, but only if it’s used without the charge controller, which is why it’s important to always use one when you have a battery.
Can l run my 110V appliances with my solar power system?
Yes, you can run your 110V appliances with your solar power system using an inverter. The inverter connects your solar panel to your battery, converting the DC energy into AC energy, and allowing you to power your appliances.
How to avoid common mistakes in solar panel installation?
Shading: Avoid obstacles that block sunlight. Use shading analysis tools.

When I visited their headquarters, the staff was very friendly and helpful. A sales associate discussed my needs with me and recommended a 130W slim panel. He showed me several sizes that would fit over my truck, and the 130W option seemed to be the best fit.
I've been using the 130W panel with a 100Ah lithium battery and a 21Q 12V refrigerator for a few months now. The battery stays fully charged, and I never run out of power. Even on a 4-day trip using an 80Q refrigerator, the single battery managed to keep everything running without any issues.
I’ll be switching to a rooftop tent and upgrading my battery setup. I’ll definitely need to stop by their headquarters again to upgrade my solar panel system. I’m confident that, with their help, I’ll get the optimal setup.

I have a total of eight 250 watt panels on top of our Brinkley Model G, and they are amazing. They are wired in a series parallel system, and perform amazingly. I, like a lot of people, had many choices when it came to designing a system and using solar panels, but I went with Rich Solar because they’re quality panels that perform very well, and on top of that I’ve ALWAYS had a great experience if I needed customer support. So between a quality product and customer service that’s top notch, why would I choose anyone else, it only made sense to go with Rich Solar. I love Rich Solar so much that I ended up putting a total of 18 Rich Solar panels on my roof, and I have four 200 watt portable panels on the ground for a total of 4,400 watts of solar power.
Great size for my 46' toyhauler and i am SUPER happy with these panels. These are the only panels i found rated over 200w that would fit next to the AC units. I have 12 on the roof at the moment and still have enough space for 6 more if i want to in the future.
I'm peaking at about 2700w output on a full sun day in the northern US and my 840AH bank is full from under 50% before lunch and that included 2 people using computers and monitors while working. I could not be happier with the performance.
I am very satisfied with the solar panel. I am new to solar . I started out 3 months ago with a 100 watt solar panel from renergy because I also have a 100 amp hour lithium battery from renergy I installed a year ago. My plan was to have enough solar power to run my iceco fridge 24 hours a day and keep the battery charged at 100 percent the next day. My initial setup was not enough. I bought your 250 watt solar panel,and after a 2 week test it performed great. Even on a couple of cloudy and partly cloudy days by 1 pm each day the battery was back to 100 percent. You have a great solar panel in the 250 watt range. You should really promote it to all the Over landing crowd or anyone using a DC fridge or products using about 70 continuous watts, because the 250 watt panel can definitely handle that load with ease, rain or shine.

This is our first week out since installed, so far it is keeping our new 230 Amp hour lithium battery charged. Last night we even used heater and this morning we still had 13.2 on Guage.

Extremely pleased with Rich Solar. It was very easy to order the panels that I needed. I placed my order the day after a promotion had ended and they still gave me the promotional price. Fed Ex ended up damaging one of the panels during transit and Rich Solar had a replacement panel to my door the very next day. You can’t beat their customer service. I bought the 250W hoping to get at least 200W of power use. My anker 757(F1200/1229Wh) power station was rated at 300W max input and this met the watt/volt/amp requirement without me having multiple ground panels. My first test on a cloudy northern California day I was getting 181W. I mounted roof top for second try and at 9am on a sunny day pulling 171W. My Anker was at 49% and said 4 hrs to full charge. 45 min later it was 100%. Happy! on future use if I get over 200 W, I will update to five stars.

I used to have 3 Rich Solar 160 watt polys on my class A and I had to put 4 extra 100w panels on the ground. At the QZ RV Show '24 I bought 4 of these RS 250 Monos and I absolutely love them. These draw above expected power even in hazy or low sunlight. ( I do tilt them in the winter) I don't have to put panels on the ground if I don't want to. I love how they are actually split 125's in one panel. I paralleled 2 each to 2 40a charge controllers as advised by the great guys at the booth. I bought the panels for $240ea and he gave me a discount on the 40a CC. Thumbs way up!

I put 2 Rich Solar 250W filling with small panels (total 800W) on my Winnebago Roam and another 2 Rich Solar 250W filling with small panels (total 600w) on the cargo trailer to keep my wife's wheelchair charged while we travel. Even in the Winter sun, both units are self sustaining keeping the fridge cold and the scooters charged.

Removed 80 watt panel and installed 250 watt panel. Very easy install and it works faster than the 80 watt panel. It takes about an hour in the morning to top off the 109 ah battery. Hoping to purchase a second battery in the near future.

Very well boxed... better than previous panels that I bought. No dents or dings and all checked out producing the correct power. Have to wait until warm weather to mount on the roof though. Fast shipping.
Solar panels arrived a week late Not due to any issues with Rich Solar but with Fed Ex. They kept delaying the delivery date after saying it would arrive that day. Finally after 7 days of this email updates the panels finally arrived. I checked each panel for any damage and checked the voltage and all looked great. Waiting for warmer weather to install.
Panels were shipped out and received in a very timely manner after ordering. Panels look great with no apparent shipping damage. As the array is for a remote cabin of ours, it will be awhile before it is up and running. Will post an update then. Very pleased with purchase at this point.
