RICH SOLAR Shipping & Returns Policy
At RICH SOLAR, we aim to provide a seamless shopping experience. Please read our shipping and return policy carefully before making a purchase.
30-Day Return Policy
Customers may return new, unused items within 30 calendar days of purchase. To qualify for a return:
- The item must be unused and in its original packaging with all accessories included.
- A return authorization must be obtained before sending the item back. Email support@richsolar.com to obtain approval.
- The customer is responsible for return shipping costs and any damages during transit back to RICH SOLAR.
- A restocking fee of 15% will apply and be deducted from your total refund.
- Unauthorized returns will not be accepted and will be refused or returned to the sender at their expense.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return:
- Used, installed, or damaged products
- Items returned after 30 days
- Special-order or custom products
Customer Responsibility for Shipping
Customers are responsible for all shipping costs when returning products for the following reasons:
- Warranty Review – Any item sent for warranty evaluation must be shipped at the customer's expense. Further warranty details can be found here.
- Technical Support – If a product requires inspection or service, the customer must arrange and pay for shipping.
- Returns & Exchanges – The customer is responsible for return shipping and restock fees.
- Undelivered Shipments – If a shipment is undeliverable due to an incorrect address, refusal, or failure to receive, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
Additional Shipping Charges
Customers are responsible for any additional fees related to shipping, including but not limited to:
- Reroute Fees – If an address change is requested after shipping, the customer must cover any rerouting fees.
- Returned Deliveries – If a package is returned due to a failed delivery attempt, the customer must pay return shipping costs and any associated carrier fees.
- Storage Fees – If a carrier applies holding or storage fees for an undelivered shipment, the customer is responsible for those charges.
In any of these instances, our team will reach out to you to address the additional charges that you will be responsible for. An invoice will be sent for payment.
Lost, Damaged, or Stolen Packages
Once a package is marked as delivered by the carrier, RICH SOLAR is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged shipments. If you experience an issue with a delivered package:
- Contact the Carrier – Check with the shipping carrier for delivery details. If the carrier cannot assist, please reach out to our team so we can file a claim if necessary.
- Check with Neighbors or Household Members – Sometimes packages are left with neighbors or in a secure location.
- File a Police Report (if stolen) – If you believe your package was stolen, we recommend reporting it to local authorities.
We encourage customers to use secure delivery locations.
Damaged or Shortage Policy
If you discover damage or a shortage, you must take the following steps within 3 business days upon delivery:
- Note the Damage or Shortage – Record the issue on the Driver’s Copy of the Delivery Receipt.
- Take Detailed Photos – Capture images of the pallet upon delivery. Take individual images of each damaged piece of equipment.
- Notify RICH SOLAR Immediately – Email support@richsolar.com as soon as possible with all details. Failure to report within 3 business days may result in the freight company denying your claim.
- Request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) – To proceed with any return or replacement, an RMA must be obtained from our support team.
Damages During Return
Customers have the freedom to choose the carrier of their choice when returning. They are responsible for any damages incurred during the return. If damages occur during transit, it is the customer’s responsibility to reach out to the carrier to file a claim. We recommend overpacking the shipment to ensure the safety of the product’s return.
Local Pickup Policy
Local pickup is available at our Ontario, California location for customers who live in the area or wish to mitigate the cost of shipping for heavier items/large orders. This option can be selected at checkout.
If your order contains any back-ordered items, we will schedule a pickup for those specific items at a later date. If you do not wish to make two pickups for your order, a shipping quote can be provided.
- Customers must provide a copy of their driver’s license and order confirmation upon arrival.
- On-Site Payment – Cash or credit card payments are accepted.
- Liability Transfer – Product responsibility and liability transfer to the customer upon signing for pickup. RICH SOLAR is not responsible for any damage, transportation, or other issues after this transfer.
We reserve the right to refuse and/or cancel any order placed with us. We may, at our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household, or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change or cancellation, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the email and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made.
