Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 4.5 / 5 from 6 reviews.
Bought this to replace a 30A Zamp PWM controller that was putting out too high a voltage causing my refrigerator to fault. After enlarging the hole a bit, the new controller fit in the same spot and looks great. It has been working flawlessly and my refrigerator likes it much better than the original.

Installed the Rich Solar Bravo Pro 30 flush mount to replace PWM model which was installed by RV manufacturer. My battery setup is two Battleborn 100ah lithium batteries wired in parallel for a total of 200ah of power. My solar setup includes 400 watts of panels wired in parallel.
Prior charger kept the batteries charged to 100% without issue, but struggled at shaded campsites. My unit sits in storage in full sunlight.
After installing new controller, after a couple of days, it would not charge beyond 90%. After a couple more days, it dropped to 88%. I emailed Rich Solar and they said I would need to recalibrate my Victron battery monitor to 100%. That only brought subsequent days of charging below 88%. After reading other reviews, I saw that others have had issues with the lithium Auto setting keeping their lithium batteries fully charged.
After setting up a custom charge profile based on Battleborn’s specs, I am pleased to say the Rich Solar controller is keeping the batteries now at full charge!
Not all manufacturers’ charge profile specs will align with the preset lithium Auto setting.

1st day and getting the hang of it. It's a well made unit and looks attractive, but found a few software bugs right off the bat. A flush mount unit begs for interior camper installation, then find out there is no way to dim or turn off the bright display at bedtime. Will make a small cover for the display. Maybe Rich Solar could modify software to include holding the two outside buttons for 3 seconds to turn panel lights on and off? Or ... a power down procedure to shut the system off in its entirety. Zero draw. Hold all three buttons for 3 seconds? Use this instead of a panel dimmer? No need to have the controller on at night anyway.
Parking camper in garage makes controller constantly flash a warning that the panels are under producing. We can read, no need for annoying flashing. Had to Google "green flashing light" to learn what is was ... not in the manual.
I guess the controller does not know the AH of the battery pack and only shows how many AH the panel has fed it over time. That's why my battery is reading only 1.2 AH? So after 1 year, will it read 1,457,986 AH or does it reset sometime. How does this number help me? I have a separate battery monitor that shows actual AH and remaining hours of use.
Android software has a few quirks. Battery system voltage is called "ZON" What is ZON ... LOL! The charge-o-meter has no directional arrow or full and empty markings. Scroll left or right? What color means what? Is RED charge and White empty or White charge and Red empty?
I'm sure I get used to it.

Working great so far. Replaced my Go Power brand pwm controller in my travel trailer.

It feels well built and easy to install. I used it to replace their PWM flush mount controller that came with my RV. I gave it four stars because it does not have bluetooth and it does not seem to be upgradable with an external module. Similarly priced controllers from Victron have bluetooth already built-in and are far more advanced in the software. However, Victron does not make a flush mount controller so I had to stay with Rich Solar. Other than it not having bluetooth, I have no complaints. If you are looking to integrate a more complex system with multiple controllers, smart shunt, etc., go with Victron. Otherwise you will be happy with this one.
