This 40 amp solar charge controller was ordered when I hoped to be able to fit the larger 200 watt solar panels on my van. I was very happy that it still works beautifully on my 125 watt panels and will remain effective if I am able ever to fit the higher wattage solar panels. Good to know it will always meet my needs.
It works as advertised and does more than I expected. The only complaint is the user manuel makes absolutely no sense at all. Whoever wrote the instructions needs to go back to grade school. Go on YouTube and see how to operate the unit. It made everything easy to understand.
True plug and play. We install this controller to make the system expandable for future panels on customers RVs.
Ozwaldo is a great asset to the company. He was always very cordial and helped me get the correct Mppt Charge controller for my needs. This world would be a better place if it had more workers like Ozzy!
Had an issue with the first one, called tech support. They couldn’t help, but in a few days, after a few calls back and forth, I had a brand new charge controller and it works great! Rich solar stands by their products, and customers.
Great product for the price point in the mid range BMS. Everything work very satisfactory and installation it was quite simple. They really should add internal Bluetooth that works very well. The separate Bluetooth module that goes with this unit is very poor and would definitely not recommend purchasing it. That would be my only criticism of the product.

Controller works great. I have 2 100/40 controllers on my 800W solar setup for my 5th wheel camper. These pair nicely with the Renogy app. The only complaint I have is the mounting holes are behind the body of the controller. Makes it difficult to mount. They should stick out past the side of the body.
They work well the menu had less info than my 1st one kinda stinks it does not have battery percent screen real bummer.
Received my first box and it worked great. But for some reason the display stopped working properly. Rich Solar replaced it for free.
Seems like an excellent unit that's preprogrammed properly. A little confused on the interfacing and manual programing, owner manual a little vague. So far so good.
So far so good, works as expected. My only complaint is that the 12V 20A load isn't a regulated 12V. It seems meant only for outdoor lighting, and it will NOT power 12V electronics. I blew up a monitor controller board trying to run it on the 12V load. Only afterwards did I see it has a maximum capacitance tolerance. My fault, really, because I didn't read the manual as well as I should have. I'm quite pleased with the manual: it has so far addressed all my concerns. For now, I'm keeping Rich Solar on the "good" list.
Seems to be working fine and fulfilling the purpose for which it is intended. The downloadable app for wifi leaves much to be desired. Still useful but come on... it was releases two years ago... fix the damn glitches.
Very Happy with this Charge Controller I like the different charging modes/stages. it would be nice if the BT-1 module had an external antenna for better range. Well built controller
Great Company and Products This was my first venture into RV solar systems, and Rich Solar was my "go to" company for this controller, my 200W mono panels, wiring and accessories. I'm still learning the controller but overall very impressed with it's build quality and performance. Bluetooth module or should I say the app has it's issues, but overall works as expected. Biggest issue here is the bluetooth/module/app disconnects easily and too often.
Negative ground unit I was looking for a reliable negative ground controller, called this seller to confirm this unit. Shipping is very fast, nice packing and good products. I will buy a bluetooth module soon. Thank you.
produce more power I had a poor PWM charge controller before, bought rich 40a mppt charge controller, it produce 20% more power than before, I am very happy!
