Overall rating: 4.8 / 5 from 12 reviews.
Awesome equipment. My battery was at 63% and I plugged in the solar and it was fully charged in 50 min
Way too easy! I just put the panels in the sun clipped the provided clamps to the battery and adjusted the controller to lithium battery. Bang 9 amp moved panels from east to west made power all day. Charged up my battleborn battery. Super cool park in the shade enjoying passive solar while the panels bake in the sun. Took less than 5 minutes to set up and make power first time using. Problem solved!
These solar panels were recommended by the rep for my use since I have a small trailer and no place to mount on it. Have not had time to use them yet but they will sure be great. Lots of solar in a compact side.
Works very well with my new 200 ah battery. I bought 2 of these suitcase style solar panels and they together charged my battery from 34% to 100% in around 5 hours if remember correctly, in bright clear sunny day. Like that I can stow them away and out of inclement weather such as hail and strong windy dust storms. Also the battery has Bluetooth so I can monitor its charge and capacity. And internal heating system so I won’t worry about cold weather charging. Thx Al for all your help at the Big Tent RV sale in Quartzsite in January 👍🏻✌🏻
I recently invested in a solar panel for my home, and I am delighted to share my experience with this remarkable product. The solar panel I chose has truly exceeded my expectations, offering exceptional performance, efficiency, and long-lasting durability.
This is the 3rd Rich 200 watt solar suitcase for us and we love our other 2. I'm sure we'll love this one too. They work great and keep our lithium batteries charged while boondocking. They are easy to set up and use. I highly recommend them. Sorry, I don't have photos of them in use while boondocking. I'll take some next time we're set up and using them.
This suitcase makes 3 for us now, all of which are Rich 200 watt solar chargers. I think they are very good, work well and are easy to set up and use. We bought the first two in December shortly after arriving to the BLM LTVA outside of Quartzsite, AZ. We also upgraded to 2 Battle Born lithium batteries at the same time since our lead acid batteries weren't up to the task at hand. We boondocked for 4 months and these solar panels did well. I just added another Battle Born Battery too. Now, we shouldn't have to rely as much on generators.
Ordered this for portability but realized after receiving it, my load demands would tax a single 200watt panel and 100amp and single 12v, 100amp battery. Bought second battery and the OUTSTANDING Rich Solar (RS) team offered several options including a few allowing me to keep it and tailor it somewhat better to my needs... They offered a 100% refund and free return shipping and I instead purchased 2 each of the 200 watt portable panels (without the controllers). Could not be happier... It's very apparent RS extensively trains the techs, support team, and sales staff on patience, customer focused options, fairness to all parties, and how to deal with EXTREME novices (AKA Neanderthals like me). Thanks to management and leadership of RS But most importantly thanks to the folks that spent time with me working out my needs, reviewing my plan and offered options that work. Again, this portable kit is a very good kit for a very good price... It just wasn't big enough for the expanded loads under field use. Great job everyone!!
I just set the panels up today and they seemed to perform as advertised. I did notice a couple of things that might be in need on some re-engineering. Both latches on the suitcase panels were disfigured and only had one leg each holding the latch together. It seems that a bit better quality latch could be used. The second item was the “kick stand”. Maybe a “catch “ bar on these that has the capability of multiple angle set up would be a plus. The panels seem unstable without the kick stand fully extended. Neither are a big deal but attention to detail goes along ways with customer satisfaction. Just my thoughts beings you asked.
